A beautiful day!!

What a beautiful day it is today! No matter that the calendar says the first day of spring is Friday, for me it's today! It got up to 79* today, and we have enjoyed all the windows open while working on our house project!
This morning as I looked out my kitchen window to the back yard I could see a hint of green in the grass for the first time! The bushes all of a sudden are loaded with buds. The birds are singing and pecking around the yard. It reminded me of this song! Spring has arrived. Even if we get more snow or cold weather, spring is here!!

  1. Lucky you!! It is WET here As in flooding! I'm tired of grey days! And we probably still have almost 4 months! before we really warm up!

  3. Isn't it a wonderful feeling?!?! I keep thinking I'm seeing a hint of green glow on the trees but it might just be wishful thinking! It's been SO beautiful here - all the windows have been open.

  4. "Morning has Broken"...one of my most favorite songs. Usually, I prefer instrumental music, and I do have a CD that has a instrument-only version of this song on it ("Serenity" by Phil Coulter). But years ago (late '80's-early 90's, somewhere in there), I used to van-pool to work and the radio was usually always tuned to a news/traffic/weather station (AM) that also played some music (just popular/soft rock stuff), and I remember hearing "Morning has Broken" quite often (the Cat Stevens version most likely). I could never get all of the words, though. Finally, a year or so ago, I looked it up online and printed out the verses, so finally--I could learn the words in their entirety!!!

  5. I hadn't even heard this song lately, it's been a long time, but somehow the other day when "all of a sudden" spring appeared, this one came to mind, and I didn't even remember all the words, but I'm sure enjoying listening to it!

  6. I don't think I'd ever heard all the words but I have the Phil Coulter version that I have playing (along with the rest of his "Serenity" CD) almost every morning!
