Camping at the lake

Backing up to the first weekend in August. This is the only real "Lazy days of summer" that happened. The rest really can be under the heading of "crazy busy"!
We did this last year, and all voted that we should go again this year, so here we are. I didn't take any other pictures than at the lake, the others were taken by someone else. Our camp spot this year was not picturesque, so I guess it didn't inspire me to take any there!


We were loaned a trailer this year to use! My kind of camping....Jeanne's inlaws had a trailer also, & the others had tents that were down in the trees behind us.

Derek burried Morgen in the sand, only the top of his head was sticking out. (See the hat in the left hand corner?) The guys had to help pull to get him back out.

The guys cooking hamburgers over the fire-pit, a bonfire Friday evening for marshmellows & smores, Kyrie & Trey lovin', & me getting a belated birthday present....50 of them no less from my daughter's inlaws!

Ekks! It's August already!

• We picked up Meshayla from the airport in Denver on Thursday evening.
• Her luggage didn't come in
• We went to Sidney to Lynisha & Jim's for the night
• They didn't send the luggage to Sidney like they promised
• Had to go buy her some clothes to get thru the weekend.
• We went to Ogallala camping Friday afternoon-Sunday noon
• A great day at the beach, playing, sunburns & jetskiing
• I pulled or strained a muscle really bad jetskiing--(But riding it was SO much fun!)
  
• I barely slept Sat. night, and couldn't hardly walk on Sunday
• Today is Leon's birthday (Sunday)
  
• Home again this evening.
  
• All 5 kids home again for the first time since the 2nd week in June!
• Back to work tomorrow. Another motel and 3 nursing homes in the next 8 weeks!
  
• I have to get this updated for August! PLUS I'm behind on my 52 weeks challenge since I was gone.

G'ma had all the kids sing "jingle bells" before they started with gifts.

These were after supper, before gifts, & most of the kids went in the living room & played "concentration". Not easy to get them all lined up for a picture together, so this is the best I got.
