Camping fun

So Ryan gave his girl-friend Kayleen a ring in April, and has been wanting to celebrate their engagement, and this is what they came up with. A camping trip with his/her families invited.
We went out to Ogallala to the lake on Friday afternoon, spent the night and enjoyed Saturday until about 2 p.m. when we had to head back home so Leon could go to work. A short trip, but since it's only about 2 hrs. out there, not bad, and it was worth it, we had a great time even tho the wind blew and it rained Friday night. The tent was fine although had to be tightened several times in the night but I gave up on the no-good air mattress, and went & slept in the van. Took a while to work the kinks out of my legs the next morning, but the fun we had at the lake made up for it.

OH! So this isn't really Ryan and Kayleen....it's just my two older boys being dorks :*)
Kayleen, are you SURE you want to marry this guy???

In fact...we won't blame you a bit if you dump him....
In the lake anyway!

We camped at Lake Ogallala, and went over to Martin Bay at McConaughy for swiming & jet skiing. It got pretty crowded at the start of the beach, but we were a ways down, and didn't have anyone crowding next to us. Maybe they thought they'd better keep their distance tho.... :*)

Hmmm...can you tell who my favorite photo subjects were?!

Can you tell what I had the most fun doing?
That was a great ride! It's been years since I've gotten to jet ski!

Those poor white legs came back home a "lovely" color of pink... They had a hard time complaining too badly about it tho, they had way to much fun!

I'll let this be all on here...Here's the link to my photobucket album if you want to see more. I'm really sorry, I'm very tired of editing, and the ones there are all mixed up and not in any order!

  6. I really enjoyed the pictures of your weekend. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has problems getting my pics where I want them. I need to learn html sometime between mid-night and six a.m. Oh yes, I love your playlist. I play it sometimes when I'm working.

  9. Not a good idea girl...Next time I could just stay home and leave you all to whine about me not being a good sport. SO...keep the pictures to yourself, or better yet just delete them!

  11. Looks like y'all had a great time! My parents have a jet ski that we used to go out on ALL the time...that was back in my college days though...now other things have kept us from spending time out in the water like we used to. Thanks for bringing back the memories!

  12. Enjoyed looking at your pictures, and looks like y'all thoroughly enjoyed yourselves! Derek was complaining about his poor sunburned legs earlier this week... :( I wasn't overly sympathetic though, lol
