Relyssa's 3rd degree black belt testing & graduation

Friday evening and Saturday morning (June 27-28) for two & a half hours each, Relyssa did her final steps of testing for her 3rd degree black belt. Later Saturday morning was her Graduation.

I'll post a couple pictures of the highlights if you don't want to see the whole slide show. It's really a pretty fascinating process. Amazing talent! The taller guy (Aaron) in the pictures with her is a young man she's been in Karate with for most of her years, and they're good friends. There were just three students receiving their 3rd degree's.

Also, here's a link to an interview that Relyssa and Mr. Cahill did for NTV.

  2. Very impressive. Craig's trying to convince me it would be a good idea to sign up Kekoa, himself, and I for some classes a colleague of his teaches. We'll see. These pictures might convince me, though. ;) Way to go, Relyssa!

  3. Lani-There have been quite a few families that take classes together, and it's always really awesome to see! The school here really encourages it, and it's so neat to see mom-dad & little ones working together. Likewise there have been some "older Moms" going to class with their older kids. Wow! Talk about inspiration!
