What can I say.......Happy Monday!

• Happy last day before the last day of June....
• I have had a wonderful summer so far.
• It's going way too fast.
• My kids have all been gone the last 4 days.
• I'm working fast & furious on my house
• My raised gardens are doing great
• I have a ton of raspberries getting ripe!
• The birds are eating my cherries & grapes :(
  
• I made & canned strawberry jam. :)
  
• I can't believe the year is 1/2 over
• I can't believe summer vacation is almost 1/2 over
• I still have a ton of things I want to accomplish before the end of July
• Leon is so busy with jobs, current & coming up, it feels like a freight train coming at us.

In conversation with some of my blogging friends, I've stated that I just don't stay in my p.j.'s in the morning. I live in town....I have family & friends here, my husband has his own business we run out of the house, UPS, FED-EX & the mailman often come to the door........

As I put on my FB page this morning,
"It's good to be prepared... alert, watching & ready".

(This is a very good thought spiritually, but a very good one in a natural sense too, especially when you have sisters like mine)

Because you never ever know who might show up at your house and walk right in unannounced at 7:30 a.m.


At least they brought me breakfast & presents!

More "oldies" for my weekly picture, and I'll finish up with them next week. I was going to do them all this week, but my kids are all gone for 4 days, and I'm trying to accomplish huge amounts of things without them coming along behind me making a mess.

This week I had planned to put my latest picture of Dalayna and I, taken last week. Looking at it I was thinking of #2 picture, taken the same place the year she was 16. Then I started wondering how many pictures I had of just her and I. Here they are. Not very many!! Unfortunately there is a huge gap between the first one when she's a little over 1 year, to the time she's 16! I'm glad at least that I have plenty more pictures of her and also with her siblings, but it made me glad again for Carin's challange!

*note: if I made a mistake on dates or ages, I'm SURE one of my girls will correct me, so I apologize in advance!!

3 weeks and counting

My "BIG-OLDEST" "sistah" Cyndie is delighting in trying to give me grief over my birthday coming up. Every so often the last month she has come up with some crazy thing or the other to TRY to torment me
Today I got a surprise visit from her, bringing me a gift, and here's what I got:

No silly, NOT the roses....they were a delivery to Relyssa from her sweetie. Probably some particular month anniversary or something. Guys tend to do things like that when their dating ya know.....(aren't they pretty?!) Since she refuses to have her picture taken, I took one of the roses by themselves.
I'm thinking that if I get coffee mugs & chocolate 3 weeks BEFORE my birthday, I should be looking for something really good ON my birthday, don't ya think? Maybe I'll get roses....HA!

*disclaimer-- I'd hate for anyone to think I was blaming Luanne or Gay...For those of you who don't know, I have two sisters, both younger than me. This one is a "sistah".... Not sure why she claims us, and she may not anymore by the time I'm done...

Last month I went to be with my daughter & grandkids in Denver while Trey was in the hospital having his tonsills out. These were play-time with Grammie the night before in our motel room at Ronald McDonald house.

* The surgery went very well, and the lil' guy was going non-stop several days later! Thanks for asking.
