It might be -6 outside....





But you'd never know it by walking into my dining room!
This fall my friend Cyndie gave me these plants since they wouldn't live thru the winter outside, and she didn't have room for them inside. I had thought I'd put them in my basement family room, but there wasn't enough light, so they live quite happily in my dining room in front of my south patio windows. They do take up quite a bit of room, but I'm loving them!

  4. What beautiful Hibiscus. It's a common flower in Hawaii and we had some healthy beautiful Hibiscus in San Diego that we just loved.

  5. those ARE pretty!!! it was 7 here in KC...brrrrrr!!!! it is TIME to head for the BEACH!!! BUT there is nothing like a roarin' fire! and working a jigsaw!!!

  9. Oh thanks for the reminder that things can grow in this artic climate. I think I will go buy myself a blooming plant. Maybe I just need to force my Christ cactus.
