Morgen's birthday party

So we had another birthday party here! Yes, that's all we do is party......! LOL
Morgen wanted to forgo our traditional big extended family bash that we generally do for birthdays, so he had his 3 cousins & friend Nathan K here only. Leon took them out for lunch, then to bowling alley play center, then they spent several hours at the park with their scateboards, then came home for cake & ice-cream bars. Wow, no stress party for this mom!
Except the cake of course, which was fun, but kind of flopped. I need more practice, but don't really like to eat cake too much....It was good, but mostly because of the yummy vanilla cheesecake filling that I put in it!!
Happy Birthday Morgen, have a great year being 12!!
By the way, thank you in advance for NOT asking what the cake is!! LOL! Morgen knew right away, even tho I hadn't told him what I was doing, & he was happy with it & it was yummy, so that's all that matters, right?!

I know, it seems like our life is just one big party huh!! Jana's birthday is Monday, but she won't be here. That's the end of things till January when they start over again! (I think......!!!)

  3. The cake looks like a tire going mudding. Is that right? I don't think I could have done that, the upright piece looks hard to frost! I got a cupcake book with the neatest ideas in it. However, it's easier to just look at the book rather than to make the actual cupcakes! Looks like a nice fun, small birthday party. What fun!

  4. Thank you Carin...yes! I bought a cupcake book too...haven't made any of them, just look at it and think how fun they look! lol!! I really want to learn to do cakes, but this one flopped on me, so it was "do the best you can with what you have"!

  5. Well, I think you did a great job on you "mudding" wheel. And I'll bet it tasted every bit as good as it looks. That's the nice thing about boys... they aren't hard to please as long as it's food.
