"She's 17, she's beautiful, and she's mine!"

I realize that a few other people may in the past, or currently, thought "she was theirs" and we won't talk about how much of the time SHE'D prefer not to be MINE but, that doesn't change the fact!
Happy birthday my dear girl, YOU ARE LOVED!

So I'm really really irritated here....no, no, not at HER! (this time!! lol!)
I finally found a digital scrapbooking program I can use easily, quickly and I really had fun with it designing a post for Relyssa's birthday pictures. Well yes, I'm sure I spent "too much time", but then again it would have taken me several weeks (I speak from experience here!!) to do the same thing "manually".
I'd been playing around with it earlier, and had some misc. pages done that were not related to her pages, and then when I finished the project for her & tried to post it, the other 2 pages kept coming up too & I couldn't get them off. In trying to delete those two, I somehow managed to delete the whole book, and now it's ALL gone.
I'm crying. Big buckets of frustrated tears. Not because you all care, but because I wanted it posted today, & I spent time & effort on it, (and it was great! :*) LOL!
So, for now, this is it. I have to get ready for the weekend here, kids, family & "other" are coming to help Leon re-shingle our barely surviving roof. Before the next rain/hail/tornado storm hits.
Have a great weekend everyone!

  2. Happy bday, Lyss!! You have become a beautiful young lady and already have accomplished special things - like your karate black belt, wow. I remember when you were a tomboy, too - I remember having lots of fun with you and some of the other kids when I was in your field (years and years ago now!! lol)
& Maxine, sorry about your deleted pics - I can understand how frustrating something like that is, because I've done it too!

  6. Now I understand Jims comment on facebook about Leon having shingles. It does sound like it is contageous.

  7. I'm loving her siblings comments about their sister... :) Most of the sister comments we get around here are still... ummm... alternative methods of saying "I love you".

Happy 17th, Relyssa. It's a very special time of your life... enjoy it!

  9. Happy Birthday, Relyssa! And I'm so sorry you lost what you'd been working so hard on, Maxine. I'll take your word for it and say "It looks/looked great!" ;) Technology can be frustrating, no?

  10. You should feel good that you can even keep track of all the birthdays in your family. Maybe you have them on a spreadsheet? LOL She's a beautiful daughter.

  11. LOL!! I can't remember most of the years without looking them up or figuring them out...and yes, I really did make a spreadsheet/timeline with them all on, but not JUST for the birthdays, or my own. My whole families. I can't remember most of my neices or nephews birthdays ;*)
