Our scrapbooking weekend

I didn't get very many pictures, because my batteries died. Of course. Why can't I remember to always have extra ones with me.
I'm hoping to get more pictures from a friend who took lots.
We had a nice large room to scrapbook in at the scrapbook store, the B&B was delightful. 4 of us girls chose to sleep in the attic, a big spacious "rustic" room. 5 beds, table, lounging space...It would make a fun girls get away place.
I didn't get any pictures of the 2nd floor, but it was lovely. 2 bathrooms, a lounge room with fridge, coffee/drink center, sink, chairs, desk. 4 bedrooms.
The first floor had another bedroom & bathroom, the hallway, sitting room & dining room pictures are all taken there. These are the girls that stayed at the house, there were 6 more that were with us different times during Friday & Sat. The 2 gals together are the hostess & Roxie, our scrapping friend who organized the weekend.
Saturday for lunch we went to a unique place about 5 miles in town, a reservation only lodge place. Delicious soup/sandwich/drink/pie & Ice cream. All homemade. A husband & wife own/run it. The lodge sat clear up on a hill, and you could see out the large windows for miles! If I end up with pictures that Roxie promised me, I'll try & post them later.

On a different note, it's been raining for far too many days the last 2 weeks. This morning some of that ucky white stuff that came down in the night stuck to the ground. The grass is very very green , the leaves on the trees are mostly brown & blaugh because we've had too much rain and not enough sun for them to turn beautiful colors. So, to make up for that I found the pictures I took in 2004 of the awsome colors and made a new header for my page. Take that you ugly rainy cold & windy day out there....I'll look at my pictures & remember how it CAN be!

  1. Lovely! you didn't tell us if you got lots done, but mom to mom - sometimes that's not the point!! You obviously enjoyed your time!! The attic looks like a bunch of teenage girls dream for a BIG sleepover!! Not that we wouldn't all enjoy it, but I could just imagine!

  3. Looks like fun! I'll bet it was great motivation to have a "girls" scrapbooking weekend. Maybe I need to look into doing something like that.

By the way, we got to hear your daughter, Jana, speak at Georgetown. We wanted to meet her, but never got the change. Perhaps some time in the future. She had a very helpful part.
