Antioch convention

Floyd & Jeanne- "Twins"--Kaela & Kiara- Fellow bloggers, Diane T & Maxine
Part of the large amount of young people who were there. I'd guess maybe 1/3? or less??!
Not even considering the large amount of under 5 & babies!!
Left to right: Jim, Lynisha, Trey & Kyrie, Ryan and Kayleen with Kara in front, Floyd & Jeanne with Kaela in front, Derek, Meshayla in front, Maxine, Morgen, Leon & Relyssa.
10 of our children here this year!! We missed you Dalayna & Laura!! (Jana is not pictured)
By the way...Thank you kids once again!! I know how much you "LOVE" the routine of family group picture time. I wasn't going to ask you to do it this time, but it worked out, and with minimal stress... and I hope someday you will appreciate the effort as much as I do. I love you all!!

We had a very very wonderful, AND eventful convention!!
Two new "babies" in our family Sat. night, Morgen and Kara, along with 10 others in the room. (including one from this town, and a family member of a fellow blogger!!) What a wonderful sight!!
And, our oldest daughter Jeanne and Floyd announced their engagement.
More pictures & commentary to come.....

  2. Aunt Maxine,
I guess this means you have the joy of shopping for the perfect Mother-of-the bride dress. I'd start shopping tomorrow... at the rate that they are pushing up the wedding date (1st it was December, now August)you better be ready ASAP! ;0) I've heard those things are hard to find. Felicity is 3 1/2and I'm thinking of beginning the search now. Better safe than sorry. I don't want to be stuck looking like a doily, a coroner or a wilted-flower-wanna-be! I'm going for the "I'm-so-happy-I-could-cry-but-I'm-not-past-my-prime-enough-to-be-caught-dead-with-a-hankie-up-my-sleeve" look, but that's just me.
Good luck, I'm ready if you need to call in extra troups for back-up. We aren't short on oppinions in this family.
P.S. NO lace-up shoes allowed (period)

  7. Nice picture! And so glad to know abt Morgen and Kara!! I didn't get to hear who all professed - someone told me it was a lot of short ones, so I figured it was a lot of young ones. And that didn't take Floyd and Jeanne long, did it?! A lot has happened for you this last week, for joy.

  8. Love the pictures! I love keeping up with all the blogging! It's been quite amusing with all the whirlwinds! Guess we can't really say Jeanne and Floyd are in a hurry--they've known each other for how long--and with her schooling starting. I'm excited for them!

  10. Hey we made it home about 12:30 am today. No tail-lights on the van so came home running the flashers. Got all the way back to our town so we could be stopped by the cop. At that time of the morning, the kids were sleeping all over the van. The cop took one look and thought " I won't go there." That was mercy because we could've been hung.
