Finland-Sweden trip is a link to my journal blog I kept during my trip there. Farm sweet Farm is pictures of the house, ect that we spent 2 1/2 years in-our first taste of "country living" during our married years. (And are just leaving) This is a work in progress for my scrapbook.
House to Home page is the picture journal of making our "new" house in the West part of the state into our home (On-going current)

carpe diem

Our days pass quickly--just like the box of cereal.  Devoured in no time. They are colorful & bright.  A bit soggy at times (from too much swimming) but always sweet. At the end of the day we're pretty much running on empty.  It dosen't take much to put them to bed & generally they are out like the light even if I have got told several times that "It's too early to go to bed, it's still light out"!

I know....Can you believe I bought this stuff for my grandkids?  A bit loopy myself I think.  My poor kids were deprived of this colorful sugar mess just as I was before that.
Grandparenting makes you soft in the head.

I suggested that Meshayla take the kids on a hike & have a picnic lunch so I could do some cleaning in the house--She insisted they couldn't hike, we had no mountains.  O.K.  Take a WALK!

One of the favorite activites around here is posing for whoever has the camera in hand!  There's always one who's goofing.

3 more at the table for meal time--

And then today when I went to town for a cleaning job, Meshayla took them fishing.....

Yes, the state of the "bridge" is a bit precarious, but after all, the "fishing hole" is pretty shallow, and in case of someone falling in, it's not too far to dry ground!

Don't you love the imagination of children and how little it takes to entertain them? A stick, an old shoe string & grammies wastebasket.  A road ditch with (yes, there was a bit of water down there!)  an old foot bridge.

You've heard me say it...I always wanted twins.  I never got them. I have quite a few "twin-cousins" with my kids & their cousins.... and now it's another generation of "twin-cousins"--this time my grandkids.  These two are 3 weeks apart.  I hope they are always as good of friends as they have been these 2 weeks!

  2. LOVE those pictures and the footbridge, I love them and if this one falls apart you need to make it again. Oh, the joys of running across it and sitting on it and under it. If those kids like outside things at all, they will remember it aa a favorite thing at Grammie's House.

  5. As grandparents, it is fun to be reminded of the imagination of kids. Neisha's girl Kylie has an active imagination. I have some cute pics and video of her in her own little world.

Maybe you will be posting a special one for "your" day, but i will take this opportunity to say it here first.
Wonder if you could have thought 20 or 30 years ago what fun you would be having with your little grands today?
Trey looks a bit out numbered by the girls in that one photo!
Looks like you are having a great time using your new camera...what better subjects to practice on?

  15. LOL! I've always wanted to use this title, and when I had this post I thought it was fitting. I did have to look up the spelling tho.
