Happy 14th Birthday Meshayla!!

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday dear Meshayla,
Happy birthday to you!!

I didn't get Meshayla's pictures up today...I picked grapes & Pears instead.
However it was her wish that I take her to lunch at a little place here in town that we don't get to very often "The French Cafe". We had a delightful time & delicious lunch, and did a little shopping too before we headed off to do the picking.
Hopefully tomorrow I can get her pictures scanned & up.

We actually got two more boxes of pears after this from another spot!

  5. I have 2 pear trees, but they didn't do well at all this year again.
I planted grapes, and they actually had several bunches on them, but the birds/rabbits/squirrels got them before I got them picked. There wouldn't have been enough to do much anyway, but next year I'll put up some net or something.
My friend Roxie took me to her F-I-L's place to get both the grapes & pears. She thinks it's a great exchange to provide me with a place to pick them, help me pick, give me sugar & then I give her jam!! (I think so too!!)

  6. I'm actually STILL picking elderberries! I've been picking & putting them in the freezer as they get ripe. I have them and a ton of apricots in the freezer to make jam out of too! Yes, one of these days you'll see pictures of all that too!
