Obviously my kids do too, because they will be out playing, come running to the house telling me to "come quick Mom"!
Tonight was one of those nights & Kaela came running to get me. I handed her the camera to take to Kara & off she went.
Great job with the photos Kara!
Dear Eyes On The Horizon,
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing more wonderful than the joy that comes from loving the view from where you are standing. The Sun is somehow brighter and the sunsets more beautiful when we are where we are meant to be.
But it takes strengh of will and higher vison to see it sometimes...
To be truly satisfied is a happy talant that is often seen in young children but we loose it somewhere between the desire for instant gratification and our natural, un-quenchable appitite for "status" and all things material... As parents, we hope to see satisfaction in our children. We try to preserve that tender seed as much as we photographers/bloggers try to preserve each occasion or moment that is etched on our hearts (and our memory cards).
OK... prosaic sermon officially over now... you can all go back to admiring the beautiful sunset.

Beautiful! I like the lighter background too.....now I can read the words!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous sunset sequence! Like the shot of the crescent moon at the end! I'd so love to make it to NE this year, but it just doesn't look like we're going to have the money or time (especially the money). :( :(
ReplyDeleteI, too, love living where we can see the sunsets, it is a big part of our lives here, but my kids aren't so very interested, so enjoy it and "those who take pictures" will love the subjects.
ReplyDeletea fellow subject lover

p.s. (@Cyndie: IF she had chosen the east bedroom instead of the west, she MIGHT be seeing more sunrises eh ;?)

beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the sunset photos!! Glad you're enjoying country life....there's just nothing like it! :)
ReplyDeleteYou two sisters are very funny--I HAVE enjoyed some sunrises and my south bedroom window is very much a SE window, so I do generally wake at sunrise. As you both know, I'm not a very good morning person, and so far there's been way too many late nights & cloudy rainy days to get pictures of sunrises! One of these days I'll surprise you!
ReplyDeleteAwesome pictures!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures. I want a camera that will take a picture of the moon!!
ReplyDeleteDear Sis,
ReplyDeleteI cannot recall how many hundred's of times I watched the sun fall behind the barn. I do remember very well the feeling it always gave me. A huge thanfullness that I was where I was and that there was nowhere else I would rather be.
Now, work on those mornings. Believe it or not the sunrise is even more inspirational! "I'm waiting for the morning the brightest and the best!"
Hugs, the other sister, lu
