Random Chaos

  • Day 44 count down from 50
  • I've lost 3 # (Maybe my scale is broke?)
  • Yesterday I made a 4x batch of chocolate chip cookies to put in the freezer, and only ate no more than 1/4 tsp. cookie dough. WHAT AN ACCOMPLISHMENT!! (yes, both)
  • I made a 4x batch of my favorite granola to last me thru Dec also. (Yes, sorry Dalayna it's chock full of nuts. UMMMM!)
  • Girls are coming this afternoon to help me finish up wedding announcements. Thank goodness for friends/sisters!!
  • Glitch in the bridesmaid clothes. Not a good thing.
  • Keeping my suitcase packed & ready for North Dakota
  • Leon & Son went off out of town for another 2 days of work.
  • Relyssa went to school again after being sick most of last week. Hopefully not any more missed days. They have a fit & send home letters after 3 absents, but don't want them there if they've had a fever in the last 24 hrs. Hmmm. She missed 3 1/2 days last week alone.
  • Don't let husband go to the grocery store for me without his cell phone again. Frozen whole chicken is NOT a substitute for a bag of frozen boneless chicken breasts.
  • Yes, 1 bag of whole wheat flour is different from 10 # of white flour.
  • There is a difference between "Shredded, and Sliced."
  • It's time to get to work.

  3. Mmmm, it's ok if you put the nuts in the granola, as long as the cookies are for me :D

  4. I sent the Chairman to the store for grated parmesan cheese (with specific instructions that it is found near the deli counter) and he came home with four things... shredded mozzarella, a block of cheddar, a tub of blue, and some provolone!

  5. The school absent rule is a little crazy, huh? We have the same 24 hour thing...I didn't send Kinzie today because of it but yet you can tell she is feeling 100 percent better today....then like you said you start getting reminded that they can only miss so many days.

Trying not to laugh at the husband in the grocery store...I am just a little spoiled in that department. The problem is he's TOO sharp when it comes to the grocery store.

  6. Funny, funny, funny. And I'm so proud of you for not eating more than 1/4 teaspoon of cookie dough. That is a major accomplishment. Congrats on the three pounds.

  7. Well I sent mine to the store one time for a box of whipping cream. He came home with a tub of Cool Whip. "What...you can't just use that?". "No honey, fetticune with cool whip just doesn't sound appealing". And the school thing. I'm dealing with the same thing. Keep getting the threat letters! Ah...another week of craziness!:)

  8. Yah for 3 lbs.!! A fe years ago I stopped by the grocey to pick up something and my DH, who NEVER goes to the grocery, saw bottled water. As we were standing in the check-out lane a doc that I worked with came by and in our brief conversation Ken mentioned to him that "this grocery sold water in jugs, can you believe that, what will they think to sell next?" I had to explain that my DH didn't get out much.

  9. Too funny! I've outlawed myself from making cookies as I eat all the dough.

  11. Good for you on losing 3#! I can make cookies and not eat the dough - on rare occasions! But my hubby used to eat so much of my cookie dough that I had to make a double batch just so there would be enough to bake a few!
