Well, I really blew it this week. I can't believe I had SO MANY photo opps, and didn't manage to get in them. You'd think after all this time that it would be 2nd nature, and I wouldn't even have to think.I had the perfect opportunity. We went to visit our kids/grandkids, over the weekend, and it was Kyrie's 5th birthday and Halloween too. What more could you ask for?
(PLEASE excuse this long post....if I don't post these pictures now, they won't get done!)
I got pictures of Kyrie being thrilled with her new calender from Auntie Gay
I got pictures of Kyrie opening her tea set I got her, & Trey being just as thrilled over it! (But with me? NO!)
I got pictures of Dad & Papa bringing in THE gift
I got pictures of Mommy taking pictures of Kyrie (& Trey) when they first saw it!
I got pictures of Kyrie in her new dress from me, that Gramma Cilla made, but did I get one of us together? NO! I got pictures of mommy & Kyrie with the birthday cake.
I got some pictures of the kids making jack-o-lanterns
Pictures of sweet baby Lyrah
Pictures of the whole crew before they went trick-or-treating. (But with Mom? NO!)
Pictures of Kyrie & Trey and the cool costumes that mommy made them, a picture of baby Lyrah in her pumpkin outfit (with HER mommy....)
Pictures of Papa & the kids playing a game--(along with the other Grammie)
More pictures of baby Lyrah with mommy & pictures of Trey "writing the numbers" as Papa counted.
Woops!! A whole weekend and no pictures of THIS MOM!
Nathan came over Tuesday...He likes hanging out with his cousins & they asked to bake cookies.
Nathan likes to take pictures also. Meshayla does not like to be IN pictures!!
She avoids the camera if at all possible (unless she's on the taking end of it)
Ah HA! Caught you!!
Can you believe I missed all those photo opps, and all I got this week was a silly picture of me eating cookie dough?? Thanks Nathan! (I guess!)
WOW! You did good! I had to reuse my Halloween pictures
ReplyDeleteMMM.. cookie dough. Now we may have to make some cookies today!
ReplyDeleteThat's the way to do it! Forget making cookies--just eat dough! Cute pictures!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed seeing the pix on this post, and since I am in the "comment-mood" you are in for it now....
ReplyDelete1)YOU are the one everyone expects to be behind the camera, and you do so well, they don't have to worry about it and no one thinks of taking it and getting shots with YOU in them eh?!
2)You know me, "the birthday Nut" I loved the Kyrie party ones. Can't believe that little girl who made me a GREAT auntie is 5 years old already! Looks like it was lots of fun...the Cake must have been divine!
3)Halloween fun....I could NOT figure out who the lion was...did not know the Nathan went with you!
My fav? The baby punkin'..so sweet.
4)The other one of Jeanne and Lyrah is absolutely PRECIOUS!
5)Cute-Camera-Shy-Shay...is she Gr'ma Ruths' Gr'granddaughter or what??
6) and the best for last??? That is really a cute Picture of YOU Max.
7)Can't end on a 6....so I will end this by saying I can't stay out of the cookie dough....it is worse than the cookies.
Kyrie's dress is gorgeous! I so miss having time to sew. Great times with the family this week... good for you. And I like the dough eating picture. I prefer the dough to the cookies anyday!
ReplyDeleteI think you did awesome getting in as many pictures as you did. I'm getting in ONE each week, LOL. good for you! Looks like it was a very fun week.
ReplyDeleteYeah Nathan...fun picture Maxine...thank goodness for those people that like to get us MOMS in the picture.
ReplyDeleteYou did get some wonderful pictures taken this week though! I have to ask about that birthday cake...did someone make it? It looks delicious...trying to come up with ideas for my daughters Sweet 16th.
Happy birthday to the pretty princess! Thanks for sharing the photos!
ReplyDeleteEJ said Hold my hand MOM"
You were too busy making sure THIS mom was in pictures last weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteI like cookie dough, but I LOVE cookies, with milk.
ReplyDeleteWell Nish, You will thank me someday :) And, it really was more important that you be in them than me!
ReplyDeleteDarcie, it was an ice-cream cake from DQ, and it really was delicious!
I did give Lynisha a bad time, considering her cake baking talents, but it's what Kyrie wanted for her birthday, and it was really really delicious!
Nish, it is YOUR job to take the photos of your mom, you'll want them someday.
ReplyDeleteLove all the pics...looks y'all had a great time. And we see what you were REALLY after...the cookie dough! That was a nice way to try to divert attention...everyone thinks you're just taking pics somewhere when in reality your sneaking some dough! ;) I think it's time for me to make some cookies now!
ReplyDeletethose were great photos! thanks much for sharing :)

Love your pictures and your blog. I think you have done a marvelous job and I don't know how you get so much done.
ReplyDeleteWhat I see in these pictures is an absolutely fabulous time with family and Grammy in the background making it all happen! That is a really cute picture of you.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way as you-I miss so many photo ops and then I have to run and take a picture of myself in the mirror! Ha. But I like the cookie dough picture. Shows what a fun mom and grandma you are!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! I prefer the dough to the baked cookies too:) It's really nice when someone gets us moms in the photos without us having to ask:)
