HAPPY SPRING!!
I went outside this afternoon to look for signs of SPRING! Obviously by my header, we're quite aways behind last year! But, I did find small signs...The lilacs are putting on buds, a patch of green in the grass, My fruit trees, pear & apple have buds on them, the cherry trees are heavy with tiny buds...and most exciting of all, I found our first flowers! It's actually here! HAPPY SPRING!!

I hope you had a great first day of spring! I was feeling the need to throw the windows open today and start the 'spring cleaning'!
ReplyDeleteEither spring comes earlier in NE than IN or you have earlier blooming stuff than I do. I was out yesterday looking and the only thing coming up is little peony shoots and about 2 inches of iris. No flowers yet. Thanks for glimpses of yours!!
ReplyDeleteIf we have really nice weather in Feb. then we've had flowers bloom then! That's generally not too good, a couple years ago I got pictures of snow on the daffodills after they bloomed that early!
ReplyDeleteMaxine! Happy Spring to you too - we still have snow, however we just got robins & that's sooo exciting! I was talking to Jeanne this morning on facebook & she gave me your blog - I miss you guys!! It's so fun to see your pics - would be even better to see you all in person though!
ReplyDeleteGrace
Grace; I'm so happy to hear from you!! Thanks for coming by, keep in touch!
ReplyDeleteI thought you were supposed to be organizing while your kids were gone, not blogging!
ReplyDeleteFunny, I'm just 230 miles west of you, and no green buds yet here.
It's a higher elevation out west, so probably a little colder, which is why no green buds out there - my guess! And maybe just a bit more northerly. Anyway, spring is coming - yay!
ReplyDeleteWell, hello. I have finally figured out how to send a comment on a blog. I feel very blog-challenged! Welcome to Spring and hopefully I'll come your way in May! Sharon M.
ReplyDeleteHey girl! About time you made it over here!! (blog & visit both!!)
ReplyDeleteHey...is that the Sharon M. we know from MT? Just curious! Love all the flower pictures. I'm anxious to get out there and work in ours too. I love spring!
ReplyDeleteRE above ?: No, this one is from NE!
ReplyDeleteHi Maxine,
ReplyDeleteHaven't been able to view your blog as I messed up my computer, but Aleisha got it fixed. Hmmm.... Yes, we used to teach them how to play with their toys! Wow! Awesome pics! We are yet in the depth of Siberia- try mid thirties on Easter Sun. It always is about 4-6 weeks behind you up here. Loved the pictures of the babies, and of Lynisha and her althletic accomp. So cool! You could tell she is very conditioned from karate, when you look at the track pics: the other girls are struggling for air, and Lynisha looks like she has just been out for a causual walk! Did you see on Dale and Diane's site that they have two sons who took champion in wrestling and go on to state? Wrestling was my fav sport in Sidney. I never missed a match. Yep, I went to my last 2 yrs of HS there and lived on Linden street, 2 blks from the HS, and about 5 doors down from Hazel Bunnell where mgt was. I professed in Sidney, and Hazel's home was where I first took part. Where do your kids live? I wonder if they know Krysti and Martin Nienhauser? I went to HS with him, and college with them both. They farm, and tragically lost a son in a car accident 1 year ago Christmas.
Well, I am to be admitted in Omaha tomorrow am as am in an MS relapse. I have been so sick for 2 weeks: falling, migraines, dizzy, nauseous, so I am ready. Would you do me a HUGE favor and let the Omaha workers know I am in the Midlands Hospital in Papillion? I don't have their e mails, but I love short visits from them when I am in. I always ask them to tell the Friends I would prefer not to have company, as I am always so sick when there. Thank you so much.
Love ya always, Debbie
yahooo! looking pretty there...not here yet but that's ok..definitely hearing the birds singing!
