A Year ago, Then and Now

Someone asked me a while back about the picture and title I had on my side bar, "From 1-3 in 3 weeks". These are our 3 grandkids, and Kyrie is 3, her brother Trey and cousin Jessi just turned one. Our daughters are keeping up with my side of family tradition in having babies very close in age! (Another post, another time!!) Last year I kept the road a little hot between here, Sidney & Fargo! I had been to Sidney for several days in Lynisha's last month of pregnancy to help her with some things & keep her company, as we all know how the last weeks can crawl! I came home on Friday Jan 19, and with a predicted snowstorm and Dalayna's baby due within a week, it seemed rather prudent that I head up there, so on Saturday a.m. Jan 20 I left on the 9 hr trip to Fargo by myself. We had several days of leisure and walking the stairs & halls before baby girl Jessi arrived on the 25th of Jan. I stayed a week with them, headed home on Fri Feb 2, spent the night with some friends in Iowa, got home on the 3rd, was home a week, and on Monday Feb 12 Lynisha called me & said she thought she was in labor. I headed back out there (3 hr drive), and as it turned out it was false alarm, but feeling like it was going to start up any time again, I stayed the week, and baby boy Trey arrive Feb 17, just a little over 3 weeks after Jessi. I stayed a week with Lynisha to help her out, and then headed home. Thus was my Jan. and Feb last year! This year is a little more calm... well, except for the first birthday party, which I will be posting pictures of soon!!

  1. I love those little ones. They are so precious. Chantel is starting to look old as she turns 4 next week. We are losing Greg who has worked for us and become a part of the family. He has an attraction in Fargo that is too hard to resist. Such is life.

  2. Maxine, feel free to add us to the links! I have a couple separate "ad blogs" that generate a couple pennies per month, so that's why I sign on under "from TX to you" and why I don't have the link in other places.:) Happy Valentine's Day to you too! Cute grandkids! You look much to young to be a Grandma!:) Must be all that water drinking!
