Since I keep getting asked to post pictures of where we're planning to move to, in between cleaning house & leaving the house for showings I finally looked up some pictures to post that would give you all an idea of what the place looked like.
These pictures were taken at our family reunion that my sister hosted July 4, 2007.
It was great to look back at these and remember this fun day. Since it still looks like winter around here right now and everything is pretty drab, it also was great to realize that soon things will look like this again.
It's going to be quite the change for us, even tho Leon grew up in the country, and I did until I was around 5, we've lived in towns all our married life. Our kids have loved spending time with their cousins in the country, and we are looking forward to our new adventure!
The tabs across the page here at the top are separate pages.
Finland-Sweden trip is a link to my journal blog I kept during my trip there. Farm sweet Farm is pictures of the house, ect that we spent 2 1/2 years in-our first taste of "country living" during our married years. (And are just leaving) This is a work in progress for my scrapbook.
House to Home page is the picture journal of making our "new" house in the West part of the state into our home (On-going current)

looks good, but I thought we were looking at the house not the food! :) Must be a sign that we're going to eat lots there, I'll bring a pie!
ReplyDeleteLots of food... it's a good sign!
ReplyDeleteI have some good pix of the front of the house from Emily's wedding
ReplyDeletehaha Shelley--isn't that what we do when we get together? Since alot of eating goes on at this house, I didn't want people to think it was going to stop when we moved.... :D
ReplyDeleteI loved the food pictures, too... Looks like a very inviting place. Can't wait to see how you make it yours. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks very homey and welcoming! You'll make lots of good memories there for sure!
ReplyDeleteGlad you could post some pics, even tho' I've been out there. Yeah, it will be different out in the country. You won't be able to just run down to the grocery store! I'm happy for you!
ReplyDeleteWow, that food is inspiring me to look in recipe books and plan something tasty to bring along when we come...wonderful to have all that room for family and children!
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely!
ReplyDeleteWe can't wait to come see you! I hope it works out that we can come your way this summer but that is rather up in the air. I still love the mastiff dog on your pics. We used to have one and will get one again.
ReplyDeleteI am ready to move to the country now. Looks like a great place to live, Maxine!
ReplyDeleteBTW Maxine, I been meaning to tell you, the Roy D that was at your wedding was my wife's uncle.
ReplyDeleteWOOOOOO HOOOOOO! right along with John Denver! I'm so excited for you. Your family is so beautiful too!
ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful! John and I both would like to have more 'space' eventually...at least five acres would be nice. You'll love it!
