One of my blogging friends has been posting some challenges for 7 weeks now. This weeks involved the number 7 and it also involves staying off the computer. Now I can't say that my favorite number is 7 but there is something that intrigues me about this particular challenge. Maybe because I know I really do spend way too much time staring at the screen; maybe because the "stupid" bejewels game I seem to be hopelessly addicted to is finally starting to get to me....
Side note here, the reason I don't gamble is because I can't quit playing. I'd be so far in debt that if I ever did win, it would never make up for it.
Do you get the connection? No?
Back to this week's challenge I'm committing to. I'm not going to tell you what all I intend to do other than using the number 7 and limiting my computer time. I will tell you that I have a huge list of things I need and want to accomplish.
Friday I'll post how it went for my week.
Yes I am making allowances for my online tea party on Thursday, and posting this weeks "52 weeks" challenge .
If I were like my creative niece, I'm sure I would come up with some creative prize for the person who makes the most sarcastic comment about this but I'm not, so too bad. (Although If I gave away my chocolate, I wouldn't be tempted to eat it!
it's amazing how much you can get done when you do household chores first before getting on the computer. my morning this messed up as I have a sick kid and I'm already on the computer to look up some things.

ReplyDeleteGood luck Maxine...I know you can do it...funny that my mind has turned that way too! I have made my self accomplish certain chores before I get on, and then I set the timer across the room so I have to get up and turn it off...the timer and the computer.

ReplyDeleteI do have to say I am really impressed with your blog pages. I also love the blog for Larisa. I go there often and look to see how she is doing - I have even been tempted to do a blog myself but I just don't know if I would be very good at keeping it up. I don't do well at keeping a journal even. Maybe this would be a good way to do that and it would be a way for my family to keep a little bit in my world too. Seems we don't do very good at keeping up. Thanks anyway for the look at yours. I love it.
it's 11pm and where are you? i really was heading off to bed and then..ahhhh..just check the email to see if ....and here i am but i'm going to do better tomorrow. i was doing great..not even on here at all today until a friend called and literally almost "begged" me to go online for her and order some products for her as she has no computer at the momento ( she gets one THursday) and so there i was ...checking blogs and fb! and ordering her products. So....breathe. sigh. tomorrow's another day and i have plans for it that DON"T include computer time! ha. except maybe 7 minutes to check emails etc. i have hope that i can do it!

ReplyDeleteMy computer time has been very limited probably because I just don't have an extra scrap of time and I am still behind. I do want to catch up with you, so I will try and phone you this week. I do have another sick girl this week. Ear infection again. :( That has really upset my applecart since convention. One sick kid after another.
