Kara

Not to be outdone by her sister, Kara made an apron for her first sewing project. It ended up quite complicated for a little beginner, but she was quite persistent, and stuck with it, ripping seams out several times to re-do them.
Since the kids are going to be at my mom's this week while I'm gone, I don't see any problem with keeping them occupied.....? both girls should have a new wardrobe by the time I get back, don't you think?!

  6. @Traci--Yeah, I took Home Ec. too. Now the class is non-existent. All sorts of other names for it! HA! I think my first home-ec project in 7th grade was a skirt, I took home ec classes all thru school & my last project I remember was a coat. Mom taught me all the basics of sewing tho.

  8. Very cute. Both the apron, and her "made it myself" accomplishment smile. I must help my daughter learn this summer.

  14. That is awesome!! My mother in law is moving closer. Maybe she can teach Summer to sew as Summer has been bugging me to learn and I am so busy with everything else.
