6 year old thoughts

Our Bible studies the last year have been in different books about the children of Israel, currently in Judges. Our 6 yr old loves to read & write, and fills notebook after note book with all sorts of stuff. This page was laying on my desk yesterday, and tonight after meeting she brought it to show us, she'd finished writing. HMMMM I think we often underestimate the comprehension of these little people, and what they really do hear when we think they are playing, scribbling or wiggling in meeting!!

  1. That is definitely something to keep! We just started Daniel last night. Elaine and Mom thought that sounded easier than Judges!

  2. How cute! I didn't think our 8 y.o. was paying attention at convention last year when Dale B. spoke, but he'd written "need more workers in Russia". You never know what they will hear. Love the idea of celebrating the summer b'day's during the school year. We have a June one coming up and I told him I'd bring cupcakes on the last day of school.

  4. They're listening all right!! I'm beginning to see this in Adair some - making observations or repeating things he heard. Got to be careful to have a better example in what I say and do, for sure!!

  5. Wow! I often wonder how much my girls listen. They are only 2 and 3, so... I like your quote about water.

  6. My kids are still at the age where they say, "Did he just say Thomas?" And you know they're thinking of Thomas the Train. ;) But it is encouraging when they start to show signs of listening.
